Peter Fitzpatrick – “This Hometown” – 090712

Decided to have a pop at this track today. Peter sent me down 29 “stems”, so that took a bit of a while to set up in CE5, but I got there eventually.

I decided to clear a bit of space in the mix for myself, so I’m pretty much concentrating on the guitars and some keyboards. Having done that, there really isn’t much need to do anything radical to the track, so I won’t (Peter will be glad to hear).

I have a pretty decent headphone mix going on at the moment, using a lot of EQ presets in CE5. Of course, the proof of the pudding is in the monitors, as the saying goes…

I’ll have another crack at this tomorrow.
